The opportunity to assist Park Rangers in managing Pinecreek Hills and the National Parks Academy offers a unique and enriching experience during the summer months. This role as a Volunteer Ranger encompasses a variety of responsibilities aimed at promoting and enhancing the natural beauty and educational value of the area.

Volunteers will have the chance to organize events around picturesque lakes, rivers, and hiking trails, providing visitors with engaging activities. The experience includes riding the scenic Centennial Railroad through Pinecreek, where one can appreciate the breathtaking landscapes, while also gaining insights into local wildlife.

Camping and picnicking by Bluewaters Lake allows for direct interaction with nature in a serene setting. Volunteers can explore stunning waterfalls, caves, and gorges, immersing themselves in the exceptional outdoor environment that Pinecreek has to offer. Wildlife enthusiasts may spot bears, deer, and eagles, as well as discover the historical significance of Pinecreek’s buildings and landmarks.

Participants will also play a role in supervising recruitment and training programs at the National Academy. Engaging in educational activities that promote environmental stewardship is an integral part of this experience. Volunteers can anticipate earning souvenirs and awards while contributing to conservation efforts and enhancing their knowledge of regional flora and fauna.
